Wayne Manning - President

Wayne Manning is a Texas businessman, rancher, and advocate for the preservation of the Texas Longhorn breed. Based in Aledo, Texas, Wayne is a co-owner of Manning Concrete, a North Texas construction company recognized for its focus on safety, quality, and innovation in concrete construction services.

In addition to his work in construction, Wayne and his wife operate M7 Longhorns, where they raise and promote the historic Texas Longhorn breed. His involvement in the Longhorn industry reflects a deep respect for the agricultural heritage and ranching traditions that helped shape the state of Texas.

Wayne serves as President of the Texas Longhorn Legacy Foundation, where he helps guide initiatives dedicated to preserving the history, legacy, and cultural significance of the Texas Longhorn. Through his leadership, the Foundation supports youth involvement, educational programming, and the development of a permanent home honoring the Longhorn’s role in the history of the American West.



Tom Buxton - Vice President

Tom Buxton is a pioneering entrepreneur in the customer analytics industry and a recognized leader in transforming complex data into actionable business insights. In 1994, Tom founded Buxton, a company dedicated to helping organizations better understand their customers and make smarter growth decisions based on data-driven insights.

Tom built the company using knowledge gained during nearly two decades managing retail and real estate operations for Tandy Corporation, the parent company of RadioShack. Under his leadership, Buxton has grown into an industry leader, providing customer analytics and location intelligence solutions to thousands of organizations across retail, restaurant, healthcare, commercial real estate, private equity, and the public sector.

Tom has received numerous recognitions for leadership and innovation, including being named one of five retail industry influencers shaping retail’s future by the National Retail Federation Foundation and induction into the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Hall of Fame. As Vice President of the Texas Longhorn Legacy Foundation, Tom provides strategic leadership supporting the organization’s long-term mission.


Lacy Matsler-Murphy - Secretary

Lacy Matsler-Murphy is a strategic operations leader whose career bridges public health, biomedical research, and academic administration. Throughout her career, she has focused on building systems that strengthen scientific discovery, disease surveillance, and institutional resilience across complex organizations.
Lacy began her career supporting zoonotic disease research at the University of California, Davis, before advancing into statewide syndromic surveillance for the Nevada State Health Division, where she worked on early detection systems for emerging public health threats. She later joined Charles River Laboratories, contributing to global primate research operations and developing standardized laboratory processes for research programs.
Lacy later joined UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she managed radiology operations during the COVID-19 pandemic and co-authored a publication on maintaining research and clinical continuity during a global health crisis. She also helped launch the Peter O’Donnell Jr. School of Public Health and currently serves as Department Head Administrator for Plastic Surgery at UT Southwestern.
Lacy serves as Secretary of the Texas Longhorn Legacy Foundation and is leading efforts to establish a Texas Longhorn Museum in Fort Worth through a public-private partnership.


Devin Culpepper — Director

Devin Culpepper is a Texas entrepreneur, artisan, and advocate for the Texas Longhorn industry. Based in the Fort Worth area, she is known for her work in agriculture, craftsmanship, and youth development within the Longhorn community.

Devin is the founder of Culpepper Leather, a custom leather goods company she launched in 2016 after developing a passion for leather tooling and craftsmanship. Her business specializes in handcrafted western products including belts, wallets, purses, bracelets, and custom show halters for horses and cattle, each made using high-quality materials and personalized designs that reflect western heritage.

In addition to her work as an artisan, Devin and her husband, Ryan, are involved in agricultural ventures through Culpepper Ag Services and actively participate in the Texas Longhorn industry. Devin is passionate about youth involvement in agriculture and livestock programs.

She serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas Longhorn Legacy Foundation and is Chairperson of the Bright Futures Youth Scholarship Program, supporting educational opportunities for youth within the Longhorn community.


Sherese Glendenning — Treasurer

Sherese Glendenning is a Texas businesswoman, rancher, and longtime supporter of the Texas Longhorn industry. Alongside her husband, Rex Glendenning, she co-founded REX Real Estate in 1987. Over the past four decades, the firm has grown into one of the most recognized land brokerage companies in Texas, facilitating billions of dollars in land transactions and contributing to many major development projects across North Texas.

While helping build their real estate company, Sherese played a key role in managing operations and supporting the financial foundation of the business during its early years.

Sherese and Rex have also been deeply involved in the Texas Longhorn industry through Glendenning Farms, where they raise cattle known for strong horn growth, color, conformation, and disposition. Their introduction to the breed began when a real estate transaction resulted in accepting several Longhorn heifers in place of part of a commission—sparking a lifelong passion.

Sherese serves as Treasurer of the Texas Longhorn Legacy Foundation, overseeing financial stewardship and supporting the organization’s mission.


Andrea Siller — Director

Andrea Siller is a dedicated Texas Longhorn breeder whose passion for the breed has quickly established her as an active member of the Longhorn community. Alongside her husband, Neal “Mac” Siller, she operates Siller Land & Longhorns, a multi-state ranching operation with properties in California and Texas focused on breeding elite Texas Longhorn cattle and producing lean Longhorn beef.

Andrea discovered her passion for the Texas Longhorn breed in 2020 and quickly immersed herself in learning the industry through mentorship, study, and hands-on ranching experience. She now plays a central role in managing herd genetics and breeding decisions for the ranch.

Her program focuses on producing well-balanced cattle with exceptional conformation, horn growth, coloration, docile temperaments, and strong reproductive performance. Under her leadership, the Siller program has earned recognition in the industry, including Grand Champion Bull and Grand Champion Heifer honors at the Oregon Trail Sale and Futurity of the West.

Andrea serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas Longhorn Legacy Foundation, supporting efforts to preserve the breed’s heritage.

Advisory Board

 

Lorinda Valentine — Advisory Member

Lorinda Valentine is a respected figure in the Texas Longhorn industry with decades of involvement in breeding, marketing, and promoting the historic breed. Alongside her late husband, Joe Valentine, she operated Panther Creek Ranch, a well-known Longhorn breeding program recognized for producing high-quality cattle and advancing the breed.

Lorinda and Joe played an instrumental role in expanding the Longhorn marketplace and elevating elite genetics. In 2004, Lorinda partnered with fellow breeders to launch the Legacy Sale in Fort Worth, which quickly became one of the industry’s premier auctions.

Throughout her career, Lorinda has been a passionate advocate for the Longhorn community. Her contributions were recognized with the Elmer Parker Lifetime Achievement Award from the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America.

Lorinda served on the Texas Longhorn Legacy Foundation Board for more than twenty years and now continues her service as an Advisory Board Member, providing valuable industry perspective and mentorship.


Bill Hudson — Advisory Member

Bill Hudson is a prominent Texas Longhorn breeder, marketer, and industry leader whose work has helped shape the modern Longhorn marketplace. Alongside his wife, Elizabeth Hudson, he operates Hudson Longhorns, a breeding program established in 2003 focused on developing elite Texas Longhorn cattle with superior horn growth, conformation, color, and genetics.

Hudson Longhorns has grown into one of the most recognized breeding operations in the industry, producing highly sought-after cattle used by breeders across the country. Their program has earned national recognition, including the TLBAA Dave Evans Breeder of the Year Award.

Bill has also played a key role in developing major marketing platforms for the industry. In 2004, he partnered with Joe and Lorinda Valentine to launch the Legacy Sale in Fort Worth and later expanded these efforts through Hudson Longhorn Sales, organizing events such as the Fort Worth Stockyards Longhorn Auction.

Bill serves as an Advisory Member of the Texas Longhorn Legacy Foundation, providing industry expertise and guidance.


Ann Gravett — Advisory Member

Ann Gravett is a respected Texas Longhorn breeder and industry leader whose decades of dedication have made a lasting impact on the Longhorn community. In 1988, Ann and her late husband, Ben Gravett, founded G&G Longhorns, a breeding program recognized for advancing elite Longhorn genetics.

Their ranch produced influential cattle including BL Monika, Awesome Strawberry, Wiregrass Magnolia, and the renowned bull Sittin Bull, which was syndicated for $1 million. These contributions helped strengthen the breed’s bloodlines and reputation.

Ann and Ben were also instrumental in developing marketing platforms that expanded the Longhorn industry. They hosted the Gravett-Babington Sale, which later evolved into the well-known Cherry Blossom Sale, and launched the Millennium Futurity in 2000.

Following Ben’s passing, Ann continued leading G&G Longhorns and remains active in industry events nationwide. She now serves as an Advisory Member of the Texas Longhorn Legacy Foundation, sharing decades of experience and industry knowledge.
